Firearms Sales Terms & Conditions

1. All Firearms Sales Are Final

All firearm sales are final.

No refunds. No exchanges. No returns.

This policy applies to:

  • New firearms
  • Used firearms
  • Special orders
  • Online transfers
  • Consignment purchases

Once a firearm has been transferred to the purchaser and the required federal background check has been completed and approved, the transaction is complete and irreversible.

2. Compliance With Federal, State, and Local Law

All firearm purchases are subject to strict compliance with:

  • Federal law (including ATF regulations)
  • Illinois state law
  • Local municipal ordinances

By proceeding with a firearm purchase, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to:

  • Complete ATF Form 4473 truthfully and accurately
  • Submit to all required background checks
  • Observe all mandatory waiting periods
  • Provide valid government-issued identification
  • Provide a valid Illinois FOID card (if required)
  • Meet all legal eligibility requirements

Any falsification of documentation will result in immediate denial of the transaction and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

3. Denied or Delayed Background Checks

If a background check results in:

  • A denial
  • An unresolved delay
  • Failure to meet eligibility requirements

JM Training is not responsible for the outcome.

Refunds in the event of a denial are subject to:

  • A non-refundable administrative fee
  • Any applicable restocking or transfer fees

Special-order firearms are non-refundable regardless of background check outcome.

4. Condition of Sale

All firearms are inspected prior to transfer.

Once the firearm leaves the premises:

  • The buyer assumes full responsibility for safe storage, transport, and use.
  • JM Training assumes no liability for misuse, negligence, or improper handling.

Warranty claims must be handled directly with the manufacturer unless otherwise stated in writing.

5. Special Orders

Special-order firearms require:

  • Full payment or deposit prior to ordering
  • Acknowledgment that the order is non-refundable
  • Acceptance of manufacturer specifications as final

6. Transfers (Non-Inventory Firearms)

Firearms transferred from other dealers or private sellers:

  • Must comply with all legal requirements
  • Are subject to transfer fees
  • Are not eligible for return once paperwork is processed

If a transfer is denied, the buyer is responsible for return shipping and applicable fees.

7. Safe Handling Requirement

All customers must follow:

  • Range safety protocols
  • Store safety policies
  • Proper firearms handling procedures

JM Training reserves the right to refuse service to any individual who:

  • Violates safety standards
  • Displays unsafe behavior
  • Fails to comply with staff instruction

8. No Straw Purchases

Straw purchases are illegal.
If JM Training suspects a straw purchase:
•The transaction will be terminated immediately
•Authorities may be notified
•The individual may be permanently banned from the premises

9. Agreement to Terms

By purchasing a firearm from JM Training, the buyer acknowledges:

  • They understand all terms listed above
  • They are legally eligible to purchase a firearm
  • They accept that the sale is final
  • They agree to comply with all applicable laws
