Progression

Wind 風 · Spatial Awareness

Course Overview

THE WIND STAGE

Level 1 was Water — upper body and lower body learning to work as one.

Level 2 is Wind. Wind doesn't hold a position. It moves through the space, around what's in the way, and it arrives from wherever it has to. That's how you're going to learn to run a handgun.

By now you can shoot from a position and flow between targets. The problem is that real space is never empty. There's cover, corners, people, bad light and a heart rate that won't sit still.

Level 2 is spatial awareness. You move and shoot, you use screens the right way, you identify before you press, and you perform from wherever you end up. Wind is also humility: we look at how other schools solve the same problems and keep what holds up.

Across the Alpha and Bravo blocks you'll work the nine Level 2 skills: shooting and moving, use of screens, pivoting footwork, positive ID, low-light tactics, unconventional positions, increased heart rate, entries and exits, and sensory use. Then you shoot the standard. Complete both blocks with a passing score and you are Level 2 qualified.

Training Focus

Primary Course Outcomes

Shoot While You Move

Forward, backward, pivoting and off the line. Your feet solve the problem while the gun stays on it, and reloads and fixes happen on the move.

Use the Space

Screens, corners, and entries and exits to cover. Know what stops rounds and what only hides you, and get in and out of position ready to shoot.

Decide Under Pressure

Positive ID, low light, unconventional positions and an elevated heart rate. See it, confirm it, and make the hit when nothing about the situation is comfortable.
