Course Overview
THE WATER STAGE
Water turns without losing its shape. Your stance should do the same.
Most range time is spent facing the target. Outside the range, the problem can show up beside you or behind you.
Turning and Shooting teaches you to move from the ground up: look first, drive the turn with your feet and hips, and bring the rifle up only when your muzzle is clear to move.
This is class 03 on the Rifle Level 1 roadmap. It leans on Geometries of Fire, because a turn sweeps your muzzle across everything in the arc.
Training Focus
Primary Course Outcomes
90-Degree Turns
Turn left and right into a stable stance without crossing your feet or losing your balance.
The 180-Degree Turn
Turn to face a problem behind you, with the muzzle under control the whole way around.
Turning From the Low Ready
Bring the rifle up at the end of the turn, mounted and on target, ready for the shot.
